Don has joined the University of Alabama Medical Alumni Association to
announce the release of Life Savers: The UAB North Pavilion Hospital. This
whimsical rendering of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s new emergency,
trauma, cardiac and surgical hospital, composed of over 170 surgical
instruments, medical items and tongue-in-cheek (glosso-buccal?) visual puns.
Sales of the drawing will be used as a fundraising effort for the MAA, which
supports medical student scholarships, and provides service and training
opportunities in developing countries and underserved areas in Alabama and
throughout the world.
Look for the Vital Signs, SOAP notes, Bypass, Frozen Section, Ace Inhibitors,
and Code Blue.
